"Women at the Harvest-2025": in the Verkhnyedvin district they honored the village's female workers

In the Verkhnedvinsk district, the republican campaign "Women in Harvest-2025" took place with great fanfare, dedicated to women workers in the agricultural sector. The focus was on heads of departments, foremen, agronomists, cooks, accountants, and field workers – those who ensure a reliable rear for the harvesting campaign and the food security of the country through their labor.

The solemn honoring of the best workers took place at the district Center for Culture and Folk Art. The event, initiated by the First Channel of Belarusian Radio with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Belarusian Trade Union of Agricultural Workers, the Belarusian Union of Women of Vitebsk Region, and the Belteleradiocompany, has been held in the Verkhnedvinsk region for the tenth time.

The honored guests of the holiday included the head of the main department of crop production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Nikolai Leshik, consultant of the financial and credit policy department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Svetlana Yalina, chairwoman of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Agricultural Workers Tatyana Dikanova and special correspondent of Belarusian Radio Svetlana Bashilova.

– Women are the force on which the food security of Belarus rests, – emphasized Tatyana Dikanova. – Their labor often remains behind the scenes, but it is thanks to them that the harvest goes smoothly, and the land yields a rich harvest. We are proud of these heroines of the invisible front and thank each of them for their selflessness and skill.

This year, thanks to the diligent work of women, it was possible to exceed last year's level of gross grain collection in the district by more than 10 thousand tons, and the yield increased by seven centners. For their significant contribution to the country's bread basket, more than 20 workers received well-deserved awards from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the regional trade union organization of agricultural workers, and the Union of Women. From Belarusian Radio, the harvest heroines received multi-channel radios.
