The Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Andrey Bolshakov participated in a meeting to summarize the work of the Vitebsk Customs for the first half of 2025, where he assessed the situation in the region and set tasks for the team for the upcoming half-year.
In the work of the customs, he noted the positive dynamics in the clearance of imported and transit goods, the performance of certain border control functions by customs officials, and the results of identifying administrative and criminal violations.
Andrey Bolshakov thanked his colleagues for their work and, outlining priority tasks for the future, paid special attention to ensuring the filling of the republican budget, strengthening customs control, including maximizing the use of scanning technology, activating efforts to identify significant violations, and increasing the economic efficiency of preventive measures.
Under special control is the organization and implementation of work on the timely customs clearance of goods and vehicles, taking into account the seasonal increase in individuals crossing the border, including by buses, the growth of which is observed in the region of customs activity.
