Young firefighter-rescuers from Orsha will defend the honor of Vitebsk region at the republican competition
At the base of the Vitebsk Cadet School, a regional gathering of young rescuers took place. Teams that won the zonal qualifying stages from all districts of the Vitebsk region participated. The Orsha district was represented by the team "Firefighters" from Secondary School No. 17.
The 27th gathering was opened by the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of the Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Rescuers and Firefighters, the deputy head of the regional Emergency Situations Ministry Alexey Makeenko. He wished the participants resilience, courage, good luck, positive emotions, and the will to win.
For two days, the contestants competed in various stages and contests, trying to distance themselves from their rivals and prove that they were indeed worthy of victory.
On the first day, the gathering traditionally began with the "Drill Inspection" contest. The participants also had to tackle the "Internet Search" tasks, overcome their own limits in the "Fire CrossFit" and "Combat Deployment". Their creative abilities were showcased in the "Safety Hit" contest and the "Business Card" contest "We are the Heirs of Victory". The second day of the gathering was dedicated to the "First Aid" contest, which concluded the competitions.
In the solemn closing ceremony of the gathering and the awarding of winners, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the head of the Vitebsk Regional Emergency Situations Ministry Sergey Meleshkin participated. He thanked the organizers represented by the team of the main education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the leadership of the cadet school for organizing the gathering. Sergey Nikolaevich also addressed the educators who, together with the Emergency Situations Ministry staff, provided the necessary assistance to the children for participating in the event, as well as for promoting the profession of rescuer. Then the award ceremony for the winners began.
Thus, the team "Firefighters" became the best in the "Combat Deployment" and "Safety Hit" stages, and the team captain Alyona Drugakova was named the best commander of the regional gathering.
According to the results of the two days, the overall team standings were distributed as follows. The III place was taken by the team "Cheerless Flame" from the Vitebsk region, the "silver" went to the team "No Panic" from the city of Vitebsk. The winner of the 27th regional gathering of young rescuers was the team "Firefighters" from Orsha. It is worth noting that our guys have been winning at the regional stage of the competition for the second consecutive year.
Ahead of the participants is the republican stage of the competition, where they will defend the honor of the northern region. Active preparations are currently underway. The participants are confident that they have enough strength and energy to bring home the title of "best young rescuers of the Republic of Belarus" to Orsha.
