Яковлевичскому социальному пансионату «Домашний очаг» вручили ключи от нового микроавтобуса

Keys to a new minibus were handed over to the Yakovlevich social boarding house “Home Hearth”.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus handed over the keys to nine new minibuses intended for social institutions in the country. One of the vehicles was received by the Yakaulevo Social Boarding House "Home Hearth" in the Orsha District on the eve of the International Day of Older Persons, which provides assistance and support to elderly people and individuals with disabilities.

The minibuses were manufactured by Brestmash OJSC. They are adapted to the needs of elderly people and individuals with limited mobility. In particular, each minibus is equipped with a special lift for wheelchair users, which significantly simplifies transportation and makes trips more comfortable and safe.

– This is a very good and timely gift, – said the director of the Yakaulevo Social Boarding House "Home Hearth" Olesya Demidova to a journalist from the "Orsha Newspaper". – The new vehicle is not just a means of transportation, but an important element of social adaptation for elderly people. Our wards will now be able to attend events more frequently, which take place not only in our district but also in neighboring ones. This includes not only cultural events but also seminars, meetings, exhibitions, and sports celebrations. This gives elderly people the opportunity to remain engaged in public life, to feel needed, and not isolated.

The transfer of equipment is part of a large-scale active longevity strategy implemented by the state. The main goal of this strategy is to create conditions under which every elderly person can remain socially active for as long as possible. It is worth noting that since 2023, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus has already purchased and transferred 67 vehicles for the needs of social institutions from the republican budget. In 2025, it is planned to provide transportation for another 26 institutions across the country.

Thus, step by step, an infrastructure is being created that promotes a full life for elderly people and individuals with disabilities, allowing them to be more mobile, active, and socially included. And each such vehicle is a contribution to a society where care and attention become the norm rather than the exception.
