For the first time, voters in the Belarus presidential election will receive a gift edition "Symbols of a Sovereign Belarus"

First-time voters in the presidential elections of Belarus will receive a gift edition of "Symbols of Sovereign Belarus," reported the head of the department of the CEC of Belarus, Sergey Shmarlovsky, reports BELTA correspondent.

Throughout many electoral campaigns and referendums, the Central Election Commission prepares souvenirs that are handed out by members of the precinct election commissions to first-time voters.

— I would like to remind you that on the single voting day, more than 160,000 constitutions of the Republic of Belarus were handed out to young voters who participated in voting for the first time. To congratulate first-time voters in the presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus, the Central Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the publishing house "Belarus," has prepared a gift edition "Symbols of Sovereign Belarus," — said Sergey Shmarlovsky.

The book presents the symbols of modern Belarus.

— Many of them have a long history, while some have become symbols relatively recently. For example, the official symbols of our country are the flag, coat of arms, and anthem, the Constitution, but there are also unofficial symbols by which Belarus is known and recognized far beyond our borders. These include the ornament, cornflower, bison, Slutsk belt, "in the unstructured" and many, many others, — noted the head of the department.

The unhanded books will be transferred by the precinct commissions for the presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus to the district, city (of regional subordination) executive committees, local administrations of districts in cities, which can subsequently use them for conducting legal education events for youth.
