The involvement in economic turnover and demolition of unused property were discussed at the Vitebsk regional executive committee.
Involvement in economic circulation and demolition of unused or inefficiently used property is one of the important areas of activity for economic entities within the framework of the Year of Improvement. The discussion at the meeting of the regional executive committee focused on how these activities are progressing in the Vitebsk region and what measures will help to fully accomplish the established tasks.
The total area of real estate owned by the region and its administrative-territorial units is 9371.71 thousand sq. m. Of this: about 2.6% is leased; more than 10% is transferred under gratuitous use agreements. The share of unused areas is almost 10%.
In 2024, about 670 real estate objects will be involved in economic circulation and demolished; more than 120 will be sold, of which 73 for one basic value.
The experience of Vitebsk and the Vitebsk district has been noted positively, where 27 and 11 buildings were involved in economic circulation, respectively.
The region has fully implemented the plan for the demolition of 230 municipal property objects.
The chairman of the state property committee of the regional executive committee, Pyotr Korobach, emphasized that priority measures should be applied to the demolition of emergency buildings and structures. There is a list of them.
In 2025, it is necessary to involve, demolish, and use 1015 real estate objects for one's own purposes. The quality of the work performed, the removal of construction waste, and the reclamation of freed land plots cannot be overlooked.
