Children from family-type orphanages visited Kopys | photo
Unusually and informatively, the children from family-type orphanages spent one of their days during the holidays.
The children from the families of Elena and Nikolai Morozov, Svetlana Leontyeva, Svetlana and Alexander Korolev were invited to visit the Orsha District Executive Committee. The kids met with the head of the district Igor Moroz and the chairwoman of the Orsha District Council of Deputies Inna Khomutovskaya.
Then the communication continued in an informal setting over a sweet table. Here, the children had a unique opportunity to ask questions to the district leadership. The kids were interested in absolutely different things, starting from Igor Alexandrovich's favorite movies and fairy tales and ending with how the head of the region sees Orsha in a few years. Two hours flew by unnoticed.
But that was not all. After tea, the children went to Kopyss.
The first stop on the route was the Center for Folk Art and Crafts. There, they were greeted by Father Frost and the Snow Maiden. They introduced the kids to the work of the institution. The most memorable moment was the master class on making New Year's toys from clay. The boys and girls let their imagination run wild. Some managed to make several toys in a short period of time.
And, of course, there were poems addressed to the main New Year's characters. For this, Grandfather Frost presented not only sweet gifts but also black clay hares – the symbol of Kopyss.
The children's joy knew no bounds when they visited the Petrovsky rampart. The view from the fortress towers is breathtaking at any time of the year.
The final stop on the route was the Kopyss hospital, where on August 30, 1954, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was born.
