The issues of tourism development in the region were discussed at a meeting of the Orshansky district executive committee.
Today, the issues and prospects for the development of the tourism sector in the region were discussed at a meeting of the interdepartmental expert and coordinating council on tourism under the Orsha District Executive Committee.
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz (chairman of the council), members of the working group of the council, head of the tourism and physical culture sector of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Svetlana Astanina, heads of tourism companies, hotels, and other invited guests.
Opening the meeting, Igor Moroz outlined the key points that should be relied upon in the joint work of all interested participants in the tourism industry. First of all, this is the creation of a quality branded product to enhance the recognition of the Orsha region.
The head of the Sports and Tourism Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Snezhana Bryuzgina reported on the implementation of the state program "Belarus is hospitable" for 2021-2025 years. As of October 1, there are 24 tourist organizations and 25 certified guides operating in the district, 8 hotels and similar accommodation facilities are provided for guests, and more than 40 excursion routes of various orientations have been developed. During the implementation of the state program, advertising and informational materials about the tourism potential of the region have been developed, which are regularly broadcast on all available advertising platforms in the region. Informational stands have been developed, and together with the traffic police, road signs "Attraction" have been created.
The key link in the hospitality system of the region is the state institution "Tourist Information Center 'Orsha'", which provides reference and informational support for guests. The center's director Anastasia Rogelis spoke about its activities.
The director of the State Enterprise "Orsha Regional Center for Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Support" Sergey Zheldibaev presented the development of business tourism based on his enterprise.
The chief physician of the Orsha Regional Sports Medicine Dispensary, Elena Brezhneva, spoke about the medical and wellness services provided to the population.
An example of good integration of new forms into tourist routes in the region was the presentation of the capabilities of a confectionery studio, presented by its head Ekaterina Berkovskaya.
Svetlana Astanina provided effective recommendations for promoting regional tourism to each speaker personally and to all meeting participants.
As a result of the meeting, a protocol was drawn up for the further work of the council.
