«Viten-Yuni» from Orsha – winner of the Belarus Cup among juniors (U-19)
The final match for the junior Cup took place on June 8 at the physical culture and health complex of the DYUSSH of the Stolbtsy district. Together with the Orsha team, the "UVD-Dynamo-Yuni" from Grodno was contending for the trophy.
In the semifinals, the Orsha team was stronger than the capital's team "Dorozhnik-Yuni" (3:0), while the Grodno team won against "BCh-Yuni" in extra time.
In the decisive match, the first half went quite smoothly, with teams exchanging fouls, and all the intrigue shifted to the second half of the game. After the break, the Dynamo players acted more aggressively and by the 15th minute were on the brink of their 6th foul. Meanwhile, the Orsha team played the second half without any violations and managed to win by a two-goal margin.
The first goal for "Viten-Yuni" was earned from a set piece and with the involvement of the opponent. Dmitry Gorovets launched the ball into play from a throw-in with a powerful shot. The rebound off the captain of the Dynamo team went straight into the net. Five minutes before the end of the match, Dmitry scored independently. The opponents switched to playing with five field players and lost the ball in attack after a failed pass. Gorovets did not hesitate and sent it into the empty net with an accurate long-range shot.
In a solemn atmosphere, the coveted trophy and medals were presented to the Orsha team by the deputy chairman of the Belarusian Mini-Football Association Ivan Gorovets.
Congratulations to the team on their victory! According to the results of the Cup draw, the best player was recognized as Maxim Vladimirov from "Viten-Yuni".
