In Orsha, for the first time in a long while, a genuine Kupala celebration took place — the folk-fest "Kupala Mysteries"

After a long break, on July 5, a bright and atmospheric celebration in the spirit of folk traditions took place in the children's park of Orsha — the folk fest "Kupalskie Tajamnicy". The event, organized by the Culture Center "Victory", gathered residents and guests of the city to immerse themselves in the magic of the ancient holiday of Ivan Kupala.

The festival offered guests a rich program that combined ancient rituals and modern entertainment:

divinations and games with evil spirits: participants recalled traditional Kupala amusements and tried to glimpse into the future.
Master classes: everyone willing learned to make amulets and weave Kupala wreaths from field flowers.
Thematic sites: festival guests could try their hand at folk crafts and even cook scrambled eggs and pancakes on a log, just like our ancestors did.

A special event of the festival was the long-awaited rock concert featuring popular bands from the Orsha region: "Pani-Khida", "Second Floor", "Transit".

The musical performance added energy to the celebration and gathered a large number of spectators.

Traditionally, the main moments of the celebration included: the launching of wreaths onto the water together with the exemplary dance ensemble "Vi-za-Vi". The girls made wishes as they sent their wreaths floating down the river. the lighting of the Kupala bonfire together with the exemplary choreographic group "Veselushki".

The folk fest "Kupalskie Tajamnicy" in Orsha proved that folk traditions remain alive and interesting for the modern audience. The organizers hope that the celebration will become annual and will gather even more guests!
