In Orsha, a project for the improvement of a family-type house was implemented.

Despite the cloudy sky and drizzling rain, the Leon'tyevs' family-type orphanage was truly warm and sunny – thanks to good deeds, smiles, and joint efforts. A project for landscaping and greening the area has been implemented under the symbolic name "Forest Glade".

The project has become a vivid example of how the combined efforts of adults and children, local authorities, and sponsors can transform the surrounding space and provide a sense of comfort and celebration.

Parents-educators together with the children, the chairperson of the Orsha District Council of Deputies Inna Khomutovskaya, the chief specialist of the Orsha District Executive Committee's Department of Education Yulia Petrashenko, sponsors Yuri Manulik and Alexander Gurin, as well as representatives of LLC "MEGAHEND" planted 12 thuja on the yard territory – corresponding to the number of all members of the Leon'tyevs family. Now each seedling symbolizes one of the household members, and the tree itself represents eternal care, love, and warmth. In addition to the trees, the area has been enriched with new small architectural forms: a fairy-tale hut on chicken legs, two comfortable benches, and garden figures – families of hedgehogs, which especially delighted the children.

While the adults and older children were taking the thuja out of pots and carefully burying them in pre-prepared holes, the little ones were filling watering cans and watering the seedlings. The atmosphere was filled with kindness, laughter, and a sense of unity. The fluffy family pet, cat Stepan, was not left out either. He was the first to "appreciate" the new hut, comfortably settling inside. When it came time to "settle" the mistress of the house, Baba Yaga, the cat categorically refused to give up his place.

– Helping children, doing good – it's not about checkboxes and reporting, – emphasized the importance of such events the sponsor of the event Alexander Gurin. – Joint work brings people closer, children feel that they are needed, important, that adults are nearby and ready to support. This is true socialization and upbringing through personal example.

As the chief specialist of the Department of Education Yulia Petrashenko explained, the idea for the greening and landscaping project of the yard area arose back in March 2025. During this time, a layout was developed, seedlings were purchased, and a house and benches were made. Now the "Forest Glade" of the Leon'tyevs family will participate in the regional competition "Childhood Yard: Care. Landscaping. Comfort." And we hope that the jury will duly appreciate the efforts of the children.

– The "Forest Glade" project is not just greening, but a true story about love, care, and the strength of community. In it, everyone felt their connection to the common cause, and the children felt the special value of their labor and the importance of family, where everyone is needed and loved, – noted Inna Khomutovskaya.

In conclusion of the event, she thanked all participants and emphasized that deputies are always ready to support good initiatives and take personal part in them. And in the Year of Landscaping, such projects are especially relevant, as they shape not only the external environment but also the atmosphere of good neighborliness and unity.
