Training sessions on resource support for the Ministry of Emergency Situations units were held in Orsha.
In the Orsha district, a large-scale two-day training on resource provision for the Orsha city department of emergency situations took place.
On the first day of the training, a study of documents on resource provision for the Orsha city department of emergency situations was organized at the Orsha district executive committee, as well as the readiness of organizations to fulfill the assigned tasks and obligations.
The second day of the training consisted of theoretical and practical parts. It was attended by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Igor Bolotov, the chairman of the Orsha district executive committee Igor Moroz, the head of the Vitebsk regional emergency management department Sergey Meleshkin, the head of the Orsha GROC Oleg Kuryatnikov, as well as employees of the central office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, territorial emergency management departments, heads of city and district emergency departments, and leaders of regional and city organizations. First, a meeting was held at the Orsha district executive committee. The heads of departments and organizations reported on the readiness of forces and resources to fulfill the assigned tasks. Then the training took place at a site near the Bolbasovo airfield. Emergency Ministry employees and interested services set up a demonstration field camp, where various points were located. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Igor Bolotov thoroughly familiarized himself with each of them, communicated with those responsible, pointed out shortcomings, and provided recommendations for organizing the points.
While speaking with journalists at the end of the event, Igor Bolotov noted that such events are held on a planned basis at the request of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. Their main goal is to practice skills in deploying forces and resources. The Orsha district coped fully with all the assigned tasks.
