In Orsha, ceremonial assemblies were held to mark the beginning of the school year
Today, 96 educational institutions in the Orsha region opened their doors for children in the new school year. In our region, 13,829 students have taken their seats at desks, including 1,148 first-graders.
With joyful spirits, students from secondary school No. 3 in Orsha named after V. S. Korotkevich came to the line-up. A true festive atmosphere was created for them today.
The head of the Orsha district, Igor Moroz, congratulated teachers, students, and their parents on Knowledge Day, wishing everyone a successful school year. In a solemn setting, Igor Alexandrovich presented a sports master certificate of the Republic of Belarus to a 10th-grade student, Maxim Zhuravsky.
Maxim is a member of the Belarusian short track team and a winner of national and international competitions. It is a significant achievement at such a young age to receive such a high title.
The school principal, Irina Parmon, gave encouraging words to her colleagues. She presented first-graders with gift books from the President titled "Belarus is Our Homeland."
For several years now, the school has traditionally enrolled three first-grade classes. This school year, 65 first-graders will take their seats at desks. For them, this is a special day, all attention is focused on them, and ahead lies a rich school life full of discoveries and bright events.
Meanwhile, at secondary school No. 5 in Orsha named after S. S. Pustelnikov, in addition to first-graders, the heroes of the solemn line-up were 11th-grade students. For the first time since 2014, the school has a full set of classes. There is also a large enrollment in the 10th grade, which means good continuity is anticipated.
After the solemn line-up, the students went to their first lesson titled "Relay of Generations: Preserving the Past, Creating the Future" – a unified theme across the country. The children were reminded of the importance of historical memory, national traditions, and spiritual heritage, so that they would realize their personal responsibility for the future of their Motherland.
