A solemn concert dedicated to Police Day took place in Orsha
In Orsha, a solemn concert dedicated to the Day of the Police of the Republic of Belarus was held at the House of Culture of Railway Workers. The holiday gathered not only current employees of the internal affairs bodies but also veterans of the service, mothers of police officers, as well as students of military-patriotic clubs.
Warm words of congratulations were heard from the stage. The audience was addressed by the head of the Orsha District Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department, Alexey Tyapko, the deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Sergey Shurov, the head of the Orsha Interdistrict Investigation Committee, Igor Sochnyov, the military commissioner of the Orsha and Dubrovno districts, Ivan Chertkov, the director of secondary school No. 9, Valentina Polyakova, and the senior priest of the churches of the Orsha district, Father Valery Serko.
In 2025, the Internal Affairs Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee was recognized as the best territorial unit in its category. The leadership was awarded the transitional prize from the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department "Saint George." This became possible thanks to the coordinated, friendly, and selfless work of the team.
For demonstrated professional initiative and high performance in service, the best employees were awarded departmental awards, honorary certificates, and letters of gratitude. Special words of appreciation that evening were directed towards women police officers, as well as veterans, whose experience and wisdom serve as an example for the younger generation. A touching moment was the honoring of the mothers of the employees: they were expressed deep gratitude for the upbringing, spiritual strength, and wisdom they passed on to their children who chose a dangerous but noble profession.
A minute of silence was observed by those present in memory of colleagues who fulfilled their duty at the cost of their own lives. The names of Nikolai Borodavko, Yuri Bobkov, Pavel Mysko, Mikhail Demyanov, and Ivan Romanov will forever remain in the hearts of the people of Orsha.
– The profession of a police officer is responsible and multifaceted. For one to serve in the police, one must always and without doubt place the life of every citizen, peace in every home and every family first, – emphasized Alexey Tyapko.
The festive mood was supported by creative teams that presented their best vocal and choreographic performances to the audience.
