A New Year's carnival took place in Orsha

A New Year's carnival took place in Orsha. The central street of the city was crowded. About a hundred Grandfathers Frost, Snow Maidens, and other fairy-tale characters participated in the costumed procession.

Teams from cultural, educational, sports, and tourism institutions, the youth sector, representatives of state and private enterprises, organizations, individual entrepreneurs providing services in the leisure industry, public organizations, residents, and guests of the Orsha district took part.

They marched from the stadium to the city square near the Jesuit college. The festive column was led by a brightly decorated Belarus-3522 tractor and a fire truck.

In the city square, everyone together lit the lights on the main New Year's tree, sang, danced, formed a large round dance, and children recited poems and received gifts from Grandfathers Frost and Snow Maidens.

The festive concert and disco continued this pre-New Year evening. There were also trade rows with sweets and hearty treats, toys and souvenirs, as well as interactive sites.
