A training and methodological gathering is taking place in Orsha with the staff of the IDN of the Vitebsk region
Today, Orsha once again became a platform for experience exchange. At the base of the Orsha College – a branch of the Belarusian State University of Transport, an annual training and methodological meeting is taking place with the staff of the juvenile affairs inspection of the Vitebsk region.
Representatives of prevention subjects, healthcare, the education department, the internal affairs department, and the transport police are also participating in its work. Participants will summarize the work of the previous year, set tasks for the new one, and discuss shortcomings and problematic issues they faced, exchanging experiences.
First of all, this is the problem of crimes and administrative offenses committed by minors. Although this year it has been possible to reduce the number of such offenses, there is still an increase in crimes among minors under 14 years old. These are mainly thefts and misappropriations of property. The problem of alcohol and drug use among teenagers remains relevant. Participants will also discuss the topic of suicidal behavior among minors in the youth environment.
– Such events are important because we coordinate the activities not only of police officers but also of prevention subjects as a whole. Among our colleagues in the region, a significant part consists of youth, which needs to be constantly trained, explaining our methods and ways of working. And this has a positive effect, – noted the head of the juvenile affairs inspection organization department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, police lieutenant colonel Dmitry Prudnikov.
A cultural program is also planned for the guests. Participants of the event will take a sightseeing tour of the city, visit the Military-Historical Museum named after the Hero of the Soviet Union K.S. Zaslonov, the city gallery of V.A. Gromyko, and will also lay flowers at the Mound of Immortality and pay tribute to the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
