In Orsha, a judo tournament is being held, dedicated to the memory of internationalist warriors
At the sports complex "Olympian", a traditional judo tournament is taking place in memory of internationalist warriors. The competition has brought together more than 500 boys and girls from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, who are fighting for the medals and trophies of this prestigious tournament.
On the tatami, both novice athletes and experienced judokas are demonstrating a high level of preparation, strength of character, and will to win. The tournament has become not only an important sporting event but also a significant patriotic action aimed at preserving the memory of the warriors who fulfilled their international duty.
The organizers of the competition traditionally include the specialized educational and sports institution "Orsha City SDYUSHOR", the department of ideological work, culture, and youth affairs of the Orsha District Executive Committee, as well as the Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan. Their joint efforts allow the tournament to be held annually at a high organizational level.
Such events contribute to the development of youth sports, strengthen friendly ties between athletes from both countries, and educate young people in the spirit of respect for history and the feats of defenders of the Fatherland. The tournament at the "Olympian" once again confirms that sports unite generations, preserving memory and shaping the future.
