Today, the State Traffic Inspectorate is conducting a Unified Day of Road Safety under the slogan "The road does not forgive mistakes!". Preventive measures are aimed at preventing road traffic accidents with serious consequences and promoting compliance with traffic rules by all participants in road traffic, fostering a legal culture and respectful attitude towards each other.
As part of the campaign, employees of the traffic police department of the Orsha district executive committee conducted explanatory work in labor collectives and educational institutions, reminding about the consequences of reckless behavior and responsibility for various violations in the field of road safety.
Preventive work with citizens was also organized on roads with heavy traffic. On Vladimir Lenin Street, inspectors organized duty near an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing, monitoring how drivers and pedestrians comply with the rules of passage and crossing. Journalists from "Arshanka" also participated in the raid.
Inspectors talked to pedestrians, explained the precautions to be taken when crossing the road, offered passersby to answer questions in a quiz about traffic rules, and distributed reflectors among pedestrians. In conversations with drivers, they reminded them to adhere to speed limits and strictly follow the requirements of traffic lights and road signs. Participants in the campaign also received souvenir products on the theme of the traffic police, children's educational coloring books on traffic rules, and calendars from "Arshanskaya Gazeta".
