In Orsha, major house repairs continue
In Orsha, residential buildings No. 54 and No. 56 on Mira Street have been completely renovated.
After the work was completed, they acquired a new appearance. According to the project, the roofs of the buildings were replaced, the basement had the water supply and heating system pipes replaced, and the foundation was equipped with a drainage system. New windows were installed in the entrances, canopies and stormwater drainage were repaired. The doors at the entrances to the stairwells were replaced, including in the vestibule area. Each porch is equipped with handrails. The entrances to the basements are also unrecognizable. The walls there have been repaired, handrails installed, and stair flights replaced. New pairs of doors will protect the contents of the basements from summer heat and winter cold. The facades of the buildings have especially been updated, as the builders have dressed them in bright orange attire. Residents are satisfied with the results.
– We waited a long time for this renovation, as the buildings are old, built in 1966, and now they look like new. It will be warmer in the apartments in winter. New heating pipes have been installed. They are all well insulated, which will eliminate heat loss in winter, – said a resident of house No. 54 Dmitry Kuzmin.
The customer for the renovation of the buildings is the unitary communal production enterprise "Vitebsk City Housing and Communal Services". Since the beginning of the year, residential buildings have also been completely renovated: No. 3 on Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya Street, No. 37a on Textile Workers Avenue, No. 9 on Yakov Sverdlov Street, No. 15 on Georgy Semyonov Street, No. 85/3 on Mogilevskaya Street, No. 18 on Konstantin Zaslonov Street.
House No. 84 on Mogilevskaya Street is undergoing major repairs, and work is ongoing at other sites.
