Mass mowing of green lawns has begun in Orsha
In the Orsha region, the first mass mowing of green lawns in parks, squares, and streets has begun.
About 20 mowers are engaged in this work daily. The city park, the Mound of Immortality, and the streets of Vladimir Lenin, Mira, Sergey Grytsevets, Kliment Timiryazev, 60 years of the BSSR, Alexander Pushkin, Sergey Kirov, and others have already been put in order. From the center, the mowers are gradually moving inward into the city. Then they will mow the weeds on the outskirts. – The volume of work is large. Just in Orsha, over two million square meters of lawns and green areas need to be mowed on the streets, and almost as much green lawn in parks and squares, – said the head of green construction of the Orsha special auto base, Nadezhda Kahanovich.
In the settlements of the district, utility workers will combat weeds using three tractors MTZ-82 and MTZ-320 with mounted mowers. Enterprises and organizations that will mow the territory assigned to them will also join this work. Streets of city-wide significance, such as Vladimir Lenin Street, will be mowed once or twice a month, while others, including vacant lots, will be mowed once or once every two months depending on weather conditions.
