Symbolically, the event took place at the Military-Historical Museum named after the Hero of the Soviet Union K. S. Zaslonov, where the best of the best employees, the leadership of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Security Service, representatives of the clergy, as well as students of the military-patriotic club "Vympel" of secondary school No. 4 in Orsha gathered.

Annually, the Vitebsk Regional Department of Security holds a competition for the title of "Best in Profession", which includes about 20 nominations, and the competition for "Best Mentors". Among the winners of the competitions for the results of 2024 are also residents of Orsha.

Deserved awards from the hands of the head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of Security, Colonel of Police Sergey Murashkin were received by: in the nomination "Best Electrician for Security and Fire Alarm Systems" – Vitaly Shishkevich, and in the nomination "Best Employee (Worker) Responsible for the Logistical Support of the Unit" – Senior Warrant Officer of Police Andrey Kravchenko. By the way, last year his son, Lieutenant of Police Alexey Kravchenko, joined the Orsha Security Department. He graduated from the Mogilev Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and is now continuing his service in the unit where his father works. And the best youth mentor for 2024 became Warrant Officer of Police Alexander Tuminsky, who has already raised several young employees. This year, for impeccable and conscientious work, Alexander received a service apartment from the unit.

A separate gratitude from the head of the Security Department was announced to the retired Lieutenant Colonel of Police Oleg Gursky, who just recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of his long impeccable service in the department. Oleg Leonidovich is still working in public service, passing on his experience and knowledge to young employees.

For effective work aimed at civil-patriotic education of employees of the units of the Vitebsk Regional Department of Security, gratitude was also awarded to the head of the Military-Historical Museum named after the Hero of the Soviet Union K. S. Zaslonov Veronika Yuryeva.

After the ceremonial part, an excursion around the museum was conducted for all attendees.
