In Orsha, the results of the project "Feat inspired by faith" were presented
At the Orsha College of Food named after N. A. Kornachyonak, a solemn closing ceremony of the project "Feats Inspired by Faith" took place, implemented within the framework of the international grant competition "Orthodox Initiative – 2025" with the support of the "Cooperation" fund.
Students from schools and colleges in the district, members of military-patriotic clubs, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and young prisoners of fascist concentration camps gathered at the ceremony – those for whom the theme of memory and spiritual heritage holds special significance.
With welcoming words, the participants were addressed by the rector of the Transfiguration Church in Baran, priest Vadim Kotov, the head of the education department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Tatyana Yankovskaya and the chairperson of the Orsha District Organization of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans Zinaida Khaychenko. They noted that such initiatives help unite generations, strengthen the sense of pride in the feats of ancestors, and foster respect for the history of their country.
The director of the college Gennady Sinyavsky reported that 651 projects from Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the grant competition. Of the 14 Belarusian applications, the project "Feats Inspired by Faith" became one of the winners. A total of 438,143 Russian rubles were allocated for its implementation. The main goal of the initiative was to preserve historical memory among youth, to foster interest in studying national history, to reflect on its lessons, and to develop the ability to resist the falsifications of the past.
During the solemn event, a film was shown that narrated each stage of the project's implementation, and the winners and participants of creative competitions were awarded. Thanks were given to educators, students, and public figures who made significant contributions to bringing the idea to life.
