In Orsha, the results of the month‑long military‑patriotic work were presented
At Secondary School No. 3 named after V. S. Korotkevich, a solemn closing ceremony of the district stage of the regional month of military-patriotic work took place. The event brought together students, teachers, and honored guests to summarize the results of a period filled with events and to recognize the most active participants.
The month of military-patriotic work traditionally unites schoolchildren in the district, helping them to better understand the history of their country, to show initiative, and to feel part of a large and important effort to preserve memory and educate true patriots.
Among the attendees were the chairperson of the Orsha District Council of Deputies, the chairperson of the Orsha District Organization of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus" Inna Khomutovskaya, the head of the education department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Tatyana Yankovskaya, the deputy head of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Sergey Gnedkov, the military commissioner of the Orsha and Dubrovno districts Ivan Chertkov, as well as the chairperson of the Orsha District Council of the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization" Yulia Chulec.
– Today you are not just summarizing the results of the month, but demonstrating your respect for the history and traditions of our country, – noted Inna Khomutovskaya, addressing the participants of the event. – It is very important that young people actively participate in such events, show initiative, are interested in the past of their Motherland, and are ready to continue the best traditions. Thank you for your activity, responsibility, and sincere desire to be worthy citizens of your country.
All guests congratulated the students on the successful completion of the month, thanked the schoolchildren and teachers for their active involvement in the work, and also emphasized the significance of such events for shaping civic positions and patriotic values in the younger generation.
The culmination of the celebration was the award ceremony for the winners. Diplomas and traveling cups for first place in the district stage of the regional month of military-patriotic work were awarded to Smolensk Secondary School, Gymnasium of Baran, Secondary School No. 18 of Baran, Secondary School No. 9, and Gymnasium No. 1 named after G. V. Semyonov.
The festive atmosphere of the event was complemented by creative performances prepared by the teams of educational institutions.
