In Orsha, they discussed safety issues and the readiness of all services for winter
Today, another meeting of the commission for emergency situations at the Orsha District Executive Committee took place.
The meeting was attended by the deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Sergey Shurov, the head of the Orsha GROSCHS Andrey Kuryatnikov, as well as heads of various services, enterprises, and organizations in the district.
During the meeting, a number of relevant issues were discussed. Thus, the head of the Orsha GROSCHS Andrey Kuryatnikov presented a report on ensuring the readiness of the Orsha district for the autumn-winter period of 2025–2026, noting the need for timely response to weather conditions. Special attention was paid to issues of snow and ice removal from roads, maintaining vehicles in working order, and developing duty schedules for responsible persons at enterprises. In addition, issues of roof snow and icicle removal, forming clearing brigades, and conducting roof inspections to prevent accidents were discussed.
Among other tasks mentioned were: timely transmission of information about possible emergency situations, cleaning of storm drains, preparation for the fire hazard season of 2026, training of stokers and boiler operators under the fire safety minimum program, as well as creating reserves of reagents and materials for road maintenance in winter.
Another agenda item was the discussion of measures to prepare civil defense protective structures for readiness. This was reported by the director of the municipal unitary enterprise "Orshakomhoz" Vladimir Chumyany.
The results of the inspection-competition of civil defense protective structures in the Orsha district in 2025 were also announced. The winner's diploma was awarded to a representative of the branch "Orsha Production Management" of the republican unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz".
At the end of the meeting, the commission considered the issue of preventing drowning and summarized the results of the swimming season of 2025. Andrey Kuryatnikov noted that work on accident prevention will continue during the off-season. Special attention will be paid to conducting explanatory work among the population, especially with children and teenagers, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of rescue posts.
