In Orsha, the problems of disabled people were discussed
A round table "Nothing about us without us" was held at the Orsha District Executive Committee to address the issues of public associations of disabled people and the initiative group of parents raising children with disabilities.
Participants of the interdepartmental council on disability issues discussed the accessibility of trade facilities and banking services, the use of parking spaces and public restrooms for people with disabilities. They discussed the importance of having speech informants in buses and at bus stops, and the possibility of watching subtitled films at the "Victory" cinema. Parents of children with disabilities emphasized the problem of the lack of specialists in medical institutions regarding rehabilitation, and also proposed the need for amendments to regulatory documents to ensure proper nutrition for children suffering from phenylketonuria.
Additionally, during the meeting, issues of rehabilitation for citizens with disabilities in state social institutions and healthcare facilities were addressed.
The resolution of problematic issues is under the control of the leadership of the Orsha District.
