In the Orshansky district, they have started harvesting birch sap

Starting from March 25, it will be available for purchase at the "Forest House" trading platform of the Orsha forestry, located at 106 Mogilevskaya St., from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, daily without weekends and lunch breaks.

The price of the vitamin product at the retail price is 55 kopecks per 1 liter. Please note that sales are made only in the buyer's container.

The vitamin product will be delivered daily from birch groves. Orsha foresters plan to collect no less than 60 tons of juice. Typically, late March to early April, when the night frosts subside, is the best time for harvesting birch sap. Favorable weather conditions have now arrived for this, and active work has begun in the Orsha district.

Residents of the Orsha region often ask if they can do this themselves. The forester of the Orsha forestry, Vladimir Ryko, explains:
– Yes, anyone can collect birch sap for themselves, but it is necessary to obtain permission for this. You need to contact the forestry, where a forest ticket will be issued and trees that can be tapped will be allocated. There is no fee for the ticket. However, unauthorized harvesting of sap and in places where it is prohibited is subject to a fine.

We remind you that according to the rules, the harvesting of tree saps is prohibited in the coastal strips of rivers, lakes, within the right-of-way of railways and highways, other transport and communication lines, as well as in populated areas. It is not allowed to collect sap within the boundaries of historical and cultural reserves, memorial parks, places of mass recreation of the population, etc.
