In the Orshansky district, the results of a record work semester were summarized
At the Orsha District Culture Center "Victory", a solemn ceremony was held to close the third labor semester, which became a bright finale of labor employment for hundreds of young people from Orsha.
To congratulate the student brigade members on the successful completion of the labor semester, the deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Anastasia Prokofyeva and the head of the ideological work and youth affairs department of the Orsha District Executive Committee Maria Shmatova attended.
The year 2025 became significant for the student brigade movement in the region: 65 student brigades were formed, employing 1,071 people. These are the highest figures since 2016. Young people worked in various fields: education, construction, agriculture, medicine, and manufacturing. A special milestone was the revival of student brigades with an ecological profile after a long break. Thus, school students from the Orsha District successfully worked in the brigade "Youth" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union M. F. Silnitsky at the Orsha forestry nursery.
– This year we managed to achieve excellent results thanks to our joint efforts. We will not stop at what we have achieved and will make every effort to replicate our success and become even better in the next labor semester, – noted Anastasia Prokofyeva.
During the ceremony, words of gratitude were expressed not only to the students but also to the organizations that provided job placements. Every year, their number in the Orsha region is growing. Among the best were named the Orsha flax processing plant, the "Greenhouse" branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo", the Orsha grain processing plant, the Orsha meat processing plant, and the Orsha electric supply distance of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Railway.
The best labor headquarters among educational institutions were recognized as the headquarters of the Orsha College-branch of the Belarusian State University of Transport and the Orsha College of Food named after N. A. Kornachyonok. The best brigades by profiles, as well as their commanders, commissioners, and fighters, were awarded certificates and valuable gifts.
Among the awardees were students of Gymnasium No. 1 of Orsha named after G. V. Semyonov Maria Kucheryavaya and Lyubov Izilyanova. They dedicated one of the summer months to working in the student ecological brigade "Youth" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union M. F. Silnitsky.
– I really enjoyed working in the student brigade. I met new people, got to know my old acquaintances better, earned my first money, and gained invaluable experience working in a team, – shared her impressions Maria Kucheryavaya.
The achievements of the people of Orsha were recognized at the regional level: the Orsha territorial headquarters of student brigades was recognized as the best in the Vitebsk region. In addition, the people of Orsha actively participated in republican projects. Students of the medical college worked at the Polotsk Central City Hospital as part of the republican medical labor project "Medicus-2025". Meanwhile, members of two student brigades from the Orsha College-branch of the Belarusian State University of Transport gained important work experience as conductors on the Belarusian Railway as part of the republican industry labor project "Road of Opportunities".
– This year, the labor semester united hundreds of young people ready to contribute to the development of various sectors of the economy and social sphere. It became an important milestone in the lives of many students, leaving a bright mark in their memory and providing them with valuable experience that will undoubtedly be useful in their future lives, – emphasized the first secretary of the Orsha District Committee of the BRSM Maria Trubkina.
