Harvesting has begun in the Orshansky district
In the Orsha district, the harvest has begun. The first to enter the fields for the harvest of winter barley were the combines of the open joint-stock company "Agrocombine 'Yubileyny'". Near the village of Sidorovka, the combines are buzzing, and heavy trucks are filling up one by one with the grain of the new harvest. The work does not stop for a minute. A technical support team is on duty nearby.
In case of any breakdowns, specialists will promptly fix them. Time during the harvest is a valuable resource. Here, every minute is worth its weight in gold, as is every grain. To harvest without losses and in the shortest possible time is the number 1 task for the agrarians. So far, the weather is pleasing the farmers. The harvest is gradually gaining momentum.
As always, the grain wedge at the agrocombine 'Yubileyny' is the largest in the Orsha district – over 6 thousand hectares of grain crops alone, another 50 hectares of legumes, and more than 2.5 thousand hectares of winter and spring rapeseed. In total, the farm needs to harvest more than 9 thousand hectares of grain crops and rapeseed this harvest.
The deputy director for crop production of the OJSC "Agrocombine 'Yubileyny'" Yevgeny Vatsuro informed the journalists of the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" that at the start of the harvesting season, 12 out of 23 combines began harvesting. 13 units of equipment are involved in transporting the grain. As other agricultural crops ripen, the pace of work in the fields will become even more active.
– Our farmers have missed such competition, – says Yevgeny Vasilyevich. – The golden horizons of the fields call to battle. Everyone has the desire, excitement, and determination for a tough fight for the harvest of 2025. May everything work out!
