В Оршанском районе более, чем на 70 процентов выполнен план по поднятию зяби

In the Orshansky district, more than 70 percent of the plan to increase reserves has been completed.

Before the agrarians of the Orsha district stand questions that must be resolved during November.

One of the important tasks of the current period is the lifting of fallow land.

– Thanks to this process, many beneficial processes occur in the soil. Pest larvae are exposed on the surface of the ground, dying from the cold, and the underground burrows of rodents are destroyed. At the same time, this is also weeding of the fields. Plowing improves the water, air, and nutrient regimes of the soil, ensures the incorporation of fertilizers, – explains the chief agronomist of the agricultural production cooperative "Radun" Lidia Shelukho.

In this farm, as of November 12, the plan for lifting fallow land was completed by 126%. Currently, plowing work is ongoing. The lifting of fallow land is taking place immediately after the corn harvest. The queen of the fields is still sitting on 20 hectares.

A large volume of work has been done by the plowmen at RPUP "Ustye" of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In the field, there are usually 10 power-intensive tractors working. A total of 1,055 hectares of fallow land have been lifted (plan 800 hectares). In the "Greenhouse" branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo", instead of the planned 700 hectares, 851 hectares have already been plowed. Work is nearing completion at the SPK "Larinovka". As of November 12, 2,000 hectares have been plowed here (plan 2,242 hectares). RUP "Institute of Flax" has prepared its fields for the 2026 sowing campaign.

In total, the district needs to lift fallow land on fields covering 22,000 hectares. The plan for the reporting date has been fulfilled by 71.7%, which is more than 20% compared to the same period last year.
