The sixth meeting of the Presidium of the district Council of Deputies was held at the Orshansky District Executive Committee

Today, the sixth meeting of the Presidium of the Orsha District Council of Deputies took place in the Orsha District Executive Committee. The main topic of discussion was the progress of the regional complex of activities for the implementation of the State program "Eternal Memory of Those Who Died Defending the Fatherland" for 2021–2025.

The meeting was attended by:

- Inna Khomutovskaya, Chair of the Orsha District Council of Deputies;

- members of the Presidium of the District Council of Deputies;

- chairpersons of rural executive committees;

Participants noted the need to strengthen work on:

- identifying the names of those who died during the Great Patriotic War;

- restoring memorials;

- increasing funding for the maintenance of memorial sites.

As a result of the meeting, the Presidium made recommendations:

- to involve the museum complex in creating a system for commemorating those who died defending the Fatherland;

- to strengthen control over the implementation of the program;

- to ensure wide coverage of events in the media.

The Orsha District continues its systematic work on preserving historical memory. The implementation of the state program remains one of the priority areas that unites the authorities and society.
