In Novopolotsk, at an off‑site meeting chaired by Natalia Kochanova, they discussed issues concerning the efficiency of housing and communal services
Today in Novopolotsk, an off-site meeting of the Council for Interaction of Local Self-Government Bodies under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus was held under the leadership of the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalia Kochanova.
The work began with a visit to the Novopolotsk regional complex for waste management, where the meeting participants got acquainted with the technology for processing solid municipal waste, an exhibition of finished products, and special equipment.
Then the participants of the off-site meeting of the Council for Interaction of Local Self-Government Bodies under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus moved on to discuss the main topic – the measures being taken to improve housing and communal services for the population, and the improvement of approaches and mechanisms for their provision.
– Issues of housing and communal services occupy a priority place in our activities. After all, in the field of housing and communal services, people judge how the authorities work. If it is warm, clean, and bright – then it is good. We need to see and hear people, and based on that, make decisions that will yield results. You see more on the ground, – emphasized Natalia Kochanova.
The Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Belarus, Gennady Trubilo, outlined a number of key areas in the work of housing and communal services, including the capital repair of the housing stock, the activities of service 115, landscaping, and providing the population with centralized water supply and sewage.
