A youth forum “Time to Be Together” was held in the Myorsky district.
Last weekend, the Miory district became a center of attraction for young people interested in the history and future of their country. The forum "Time to be Together" was held here, dedicated to the memory of the heroism of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and its significance for modern Belarus.
The event began at the Dzisna Border farm with a ceremonial opening, a moment of silence, and a dialogue between the youth and the regional leadership and representatives of various departments.
During the discussion, the Deputy Head of the Department of the State Committee for Forensic Expertise for the Vitebsk Region, Sergey Romanov, emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory.
- Such events remind us of the terrible events that swept through our lands like a hurricane. We must remember the feats of the Soviet people, who, under the burden of daily risk and fear, sought to free the world from the fascist threat. Our department is one of those contributing to the establishment of historical truth by participating in excavations aimed at discovering the remains of fallen soldiers, partisans, and local residents during the occupation. This work is extremely important as an act of preserving historical memory. It helps strengthen the connection between generations and pass on to future citizens of the country a truthful chronicle of the people's feat, on which our values and national self-awareness are based, - he emphasized.
Participants of the forum also went on a car rally to the memorial sites of the Miory district. They visited the burial site of war victims in the Dzisna park area and the mass grave of liberators, where meetings and flower laying took place.
The youth forum "Time to be Together" became a significant event, uniting the memory of heroic past and modern dialogue about the future. It once again proved that the feats of Soviet heroes will forever remain in the hearts of the Belarusian people.
