In the Liozensk district, a modern dairy product complex was opened after reconstruction
At the agricultural production cooperative "Dolzha-Agro" of the open joint-stock company "BelVitunifarm" in the Liozno district, a modern dairy complex for 776 heads of milking herd has been opened after reconstruction.
The facility was constructed under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 442 "On the construction and reconstruction of dairy farms". The complex consists of two cow barns with a milking and dairy block, a facility for dry cows, a maternity ward, a calf prophylactic center, silage trenches, and a water intake.
During the opening of the complex, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, emphasized that Vitebsk region particularly needs modern livestock facilities where the technology of milk production can be thoroughly adhered to. Last year, 10 dairy complexes were built, and this year the construction of another ten is underway. The strategy for the development of the livestock sector envisages the construction of more than 130 facilities. Over the next few years, 10-15 facilities will be commissioned annually.
According to the chairman of the Liozno district executive committee, Ivan Fedorov, the complex in the village of Chernoruchye was built in 15 months. It will allow "Dolzha-Agro" to increase daily milk production from 8 to 15 tons in the future.
The general director of the open joint-stock company "BelVitunifarm", Ilya Darovskih, noted that the modern complex was extremely necessary. It will allow concentrating the livestock that was previously located on outdated farms in one place. It is planned to create a breeding core of highly productive cows here, which will affect the level of milk production. An important factor is that working conditions for employees have significantly improved.
