В хозяйстве «Маяк Высокое» Оршанского района идет кормозаготовка

Feed preparation is underway at the "Mayak Vysokoe" farm in the Orshansky district.

In the fields of the Orsha district, the harvesting of green fodder is being carried out at an active pace. All agricultural organizations are rapidly working in this direction after the heavy rains. The first mowing of grass is the most important for farmers. After all, creating a reliable feed base for cattle is the foundation of animal husbandry, the basis for obtaining a large amount of milk. Journalists from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta" visited the fields of OAO "Mayak Vysokoye" (director Pavel Fomin) in the areas of Barsuki and Koloniya and observed how the fodder harvesting is going on.

From the road, the endless field looks like a green sea, with mowers sailing across it like ships. Other agricultural machinery engaged in mowing accompanies them. The pleasant smell of freshly cut grass spreads far around. The work is in full swing without stopping. This year, the green harvest of the chief agronomist of OAO "Mayak Vysokoye" Irina Vasilieva is pleasing.

– After the spring frosts, the grass had enough moisture and warmth to gain strength. Now we just need to keep harvesting. There will be nutritious feed for the cows, – says Irina Konstantinovna. – We work as a friendly team. The main thing is that we are not let down by the heavenly office.

As of the morning of June 4, the farm has already laid more than four thousand tons of silage, which is 200 percent of last year's level. About 20 units of machinery and 27 agrarians are involved in the mowing-2025. Eight trucks are working on transporting the green mass.

All the mechanics in the farm are experienced people who know their job excellently. Among them are also the well-known heroes of the harvesting campaign, multiple winners of the regional "Dazhynki" brothers Pshenni  Yevgeny and Denis.

At OAO "Mayak Vysokoye", they strive not to miss a single minute in the fodder harvesting to complete the first mowing qualitatively and on time. And the second one is not far off...
