A renovated therapeutic department opened at City Hospital No. 1 named after Semashko in Orsha.
After a major renovation, the therapeutic department of the city hospital No. 1 named after N. Semashko has opened. By good tradition, the event took place on the eve of the republican holiday – the Day of the October Revolution.
The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy chairman of the Orsha district executive committee Anastasia Prokofyeva, the deputy head of the main health department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee Andrey Kakoychenko, the deputy chief physician of the UZ "OCP" Lyubov Rummo, the medical staff of the department headed by the head Nikolai Gorenkov, and colleagues.
The therapeutic department at the city hospital No. 1 named after N. Semashko has been functioning since 2018 with 50 beds. This is an interdistrict department for providing medical assistance to patients with gastroenterological profiles from the city of Orsha, Orsha, Dubroven, Lepel, Liozno, Sennensky, Tolchin, and Chashniki districts. It includes 20 beds for gastroenterological profiles, as well as 30 therapeutic beds for patients in the service area of polyclinic No. 1.
About 400 thousand rubles were allocated from the district budget for the modernization of the department. During the renovation, which lasted from April of this year and served 20 beds, the department acquired a new modern look. There are 12 wards, and there is a comfortable stay room. The staff includes two therapists, eight nurses, and six junior medical staff members.
The department conducts clinical and laboratory monitoring of patients' health, instrumental examination methods: colonoscopy, FGDS, ultrasound, CT, elastography, X-ray examination, coprogram, biochemical blood tests, general blood analysis, and general urine analysis, among others.
After the renovation, the department will provide quality medical assistance to patients with therapeutic profiles in more comfortable conditions.
