In the urban-type settlement of Orekhovsk, preparations have begun for the district 'Harvest' 2026.
Next year, the capital of the district festival of rural workers will be the urban settlement of Orekhovsk. Preparation for this important event has already started.
The leadership of the Orsha district executive committee met with local residents to outline the facilities for improvement and the scope of upcoming work, to listen to the opinions and suggestions of the villagers themselves. The chairman of the executive committee Igor Moroz emphasized global issues at the beginning of the meeting that require the attention of local authorities and their resolution, and also asked to identify specific problems affecting the quality of life in the settlement itself.
Today, Orekhovsk has a population of over 2,300 people. This settlement has long been called the cradle of Belarusian energy, as the first Belarusian GRES was built here. It has all the necessary social infrastructure facilities, as well as industrial facilities: branches of "BelGRES" and "Teplichny" RUE "Vitebskenergo", OJSC "Orekhovsky flax factory".
What questions did local residents raise during the meeting? One of the first concerned the reconstruction of electrical networks, and the topic of improving the local beach at Orekhovsk Lake was also raised, as well as the repair of road surfaces and the arrangement of sidewalks on some streets, the quality of water supply, the improvement of yard territories, parks, and squares, and the former market square.
