Topic number one - spring sowing. Measures for preparing agricultural organizations in the Vitebsk region for field work are discussed at the off-site open meeting of the regional executive committee in Dubrova. The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yuri Horlov, is participating in its work. The plenary part was opened by the chairman of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin.
- The spring sowing campaign is the most important stage for the agricultural year, on which the fate of the future harvest largely depends, - emphasized the head of the regional executive committee. - According to the results of work for 2024, the growth rate of gross production in crop production amounted to 112.4 percent compared to the level of 2023.
The task for 2025 is to ensure the volume of gross production in agricultural organizations of the region at the level of the previous year of 107.0 percent, including crop production - no less than 115.6 percent.
About what has already been done and what issues need to be promptly refined, told the chairman of the committee on agriculture and food of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, Andrei Bulavkin. The meeting will also discuss the topic of reforming agricultural organizations in the region. Meeting participants will visit the machine yard of OAO "Dubrova District Agroservice". Here they will get acquainted with the organization of agricultural machinery repairs, the work of the created inter-district mechanized teams. At OAO "Yakubovo-Agro", they will see how the fertilization of winter grain crops, machinery repairs, and the uprooting of low-quality orchards are organized.
