In honor of City Day, a flag was raised ceremoniously in Orsha.
Orsha celebrates its 958th birthday. Traditionally, the regional leadership, labor collectives, the public, and youth gathered at the building of the Orsha District Executive Committee for the solemn flag-raising ceremony of the city.
The chairman of the district executive committee Igor Moroz congratulated the residents of Orsha on the holiday. He emphasized that Orsha is a city that is continuously developing:
– We see how our streets are transforming, new social facilities are being built, parks and squares are being improved. Every year, the city becomes more comfortable, more modern, while preserving its uniqueness and spirit. Great attention and constant support in the development of the Orsha district is also given by the Head of State. This includes the implementation of measures for the development of the industrial and agro-industrial complex, the social sphere, and the housing and communal services sector.
Igor Alexandrovich expressed special words of gratitude to the residents. To those who contribute to the development of Orsha with their labor, initiative, and concern.
– This year, when we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the city, which endured the heavy trials of war, remembers and honors the feat of our heroes. We must preserve this memory and pass it on to future generations so that no one ever forgets the price at which the peaceful sky above our heads was won, – concluded his speech Igor Moroz. – Only together can we multiply our achievements, and then stability and prosperity will come to every labor collective, to every home! May our city continue to prosper, and may happiness, well-being, and pride for our small homeland reign in every family.
Happy holiday to you! Happy City Day!
