In Belarus, a mechanism for imposing criminal liability for the illegal use of UAVs has been implemented.
For the illegal use of unmanned aerial vehicles, violators now face criminal liability.
As of November 2 of this year, the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated October 20, 2025, No. 101–3 "On Amendments to the Laws on Criminal and Administrative Liability" has come into force.
"The law establishes administrative liability for the illegal importation into the territory of Belarus, storage, circulation, operation, or manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles or model aircraft. Criminal liability arises for similar actions committed repeatedly within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty," — explained in the GPK.
Since the beginning of this year, border service officers have seized 81 drones, components for them, as well as 88 aerostatic balloons. During procedural activities, an additional 359 gas cylinders, 98 GPS trackers, two thermal imagers, 10 mobile phones, and 36 SIM cards from Lithuanian mobile operators were seized.
