A historical‑patriotic exhibition has opened in Baran

The opening of historical and patriotic exhibitions organized by the chairman of the Orsha district branch of the Belarusian Society of "Rescuer" veterans of emergency situations Dmitry Dayneko took place in the exhibition hall of the Palace of Culture in the city of Baran.

The exhibition features unique exhibits reflecting the history of the Great Patriotic War, the everyday life of the USSR era of the 20–70s, a corner for the liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster, as well as a corner of the history of the fire service. Each exhibition tells about feats, about the working days, and about the lives of ordinary people in different periods of history.

Dmitry Adolfovich shared the story of the exhibition's creation and thanked those who helped bring the idea to life:

– The idea to create such an exhibition emerged more than ten years ago. I collected exhibits piece by piece from friends, colleagues, and simply concerned people. Many items have personal stories connected to specific fates. I wanted to preserve the memory and pass it on to the younger generation. I express my sincere gratitude to the administration of the Palace of Culture and the entire team for their assistance in organizing the exhibition, for providing the venue, and for their support.

Students from schools in the city of Baran, members of military-patriotic clubs, city council deputies, and residents interested in the history of their homeland attended the opening. After the ceremonial speech, Dmitry Adolfovich conducted a tour, detailing each exhibition.

The exhibition generated great interest among visitors. It was especially noted by schoolchildren and youth, for whom the exhibition became a living lesson in history and patriotism.

The exhibition will be open to visit starting in November, every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, free admission.
