A long-awaited House of Culture will appear in Babinichi

The urban settlement of Babinichi can confidently be called a promising and dynamically developing locality today. About four thousand people live here, and every year the area becomes more and more comfortable for living, working, and creativity. The local administration is consistently addressing the accumulated issues and doing everything possible to improve the quality of life for the people.

One of the most pressing issues for many years has been the absence of a cultural center.

– It so happened that there has never been a club in Babinichi itself. The cultural center was located in the neighboring village of Antonovka, – said Marina Matveeva, the chairwoman of the Babinichi village council, to a journalist from the "Arshanskaya Gazeta". – After the Antonov cultural center building was deemed unsuitable for further use, it was demolished. This decision exacerbated the cultural problem: the agrotown with thousands of residents was left without a full-fledged club base.

A temporary solution was to place creative groups in the building of the Babinichi library. The Babinichi rural cultural center was opened here, but the conditions remain extremely cramped. The cultural workers and groups have only one room at their disposal, which clearly does not meet the existing needs. And these needs are growing. Vocal, dance, and decorative-applied arts clubs are actively developing in Babinichi, and the well-known group "Orshanachka" is engaged in preserving folk traditions and promoting the agrotown far beyond its borders. Just recently, the group members participated in the filming of the project "Good Morning, Belarus!".

Understanding the importance of cultural development, a decision was made to reconstruct the vacant building of the former economic shop into a rural cultural center. Last year, the facade was updated, and the windows were replaced. Ahead are internal works: equipping offices, a stage, an assembly hall, sanitary facilities, and changing rooms. The new cultural center will become a real attraction for residents of all ages. The location is particularly successful: almost in the center of the agrotown, next to the school. This creates excellent conditions for children and teenagers. After classes, they will be able to immediately attend clubs and sections, develop their talents, and spend time productively.
