We learned where the Orsha police ran

Employees of the Orsha District Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department participated in an athletics cross dedicated to the Day of the Formation of the Orsha Police. This event became not only a sports challenge but also an important symbol of unity, continuity of traditions, and respect for service.

The route of the run stretched from the building of the Department of Internal Affairs along Engels Street, then through the village of Lipki-Yarashovichy, along May 1st Street, and concluded at the Mound of Immortality. The total distance was about seven kilometers.

Before the event began, the police chief Alexey Tyapko addressed the personnel. After his encouraging words, a column of 109 officers moved along the route in an organized manner. The employees confidently overcame the distance, demonstrating endurance and team spirit. Along the way, residents greeted the participants of the run. People came out to the roads, supporting the employees with applause and words of approval. In response, the police officers thanked the residents for their support, responding with smiles and gestures of gratitude. This mutual support once again emphasized the close connection between law enforcement and society, for the peace of which they serve daily.

The final point of the route was the Mound of Immortality – a place filled with special historical and spiritual significance.

Here, the participants of the cross honored the memory of the heroes. The employees laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, bowing their heads in a sign of respect and gratitude. With a moment of silence, those present honored the memory of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, as well as their comrades who gave their lives for the safety and peace of the district's residents.

The event became a vivid example of how duty, physical training, and patriotism unite into a whole, strengthening the fighting spirit of the employees and reminding them of the high responsibility they bear before society.
