Learned how pedestrians should move during the road widening works on Mira Street in Orsha

A journalist from "Arshanskaya Gazeta" attended a working meeting of the headquarters for the widening of the roadway on Mira Street. It was conducted by the deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Sergey Shurov.

One of the main questions discussed by all interested parties was the pace of work at the construction site.

The section of the road under the railway bridge, connecting the Eastern and Cheremushki microdistricts, has a narrow passage for vehicles. Traffic jams often form there during peak hours, so the news about the start of work to widen the roadway has been long-awaited by many residents of Orsha. Large-scale construction began in February. Currently, the relocation of existing engineering networks is actively underway: water supply, domestic sewage, stormwater drainage networks, outdoor lighting, power supply, telephone cable ducts, and fiber-optic communication networks. Work is also being carried out on weekends. As noted during the meeting, there are no delays in the schedule, which is very important. The project is planned to be completed by the end of this year.

Another relevant topic suggested by the readers of "Arshanskaya Gazeta" is how pedestrians should move during the construction work on this section of the road.

Pedestrians are advised to move on the right side towards the train station (on the odd side). The passage from the pedestrian crossing on I. Yakubovsky Street will be closed during the construction work. It is better to follow the signs that will appear in the coming days.

Journalists from "Arshanki" continue to observe the work on widening the roadway on Mira Street in Orsha. Follow our publications.
