Students of Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 3 became winners of the republican competition “Fresh Wind” in the category “Best School Blog”
In the XXI republican competition of children's mass media "Fresh Wind", students of the 11th "B" class of Gymnasium No. 3 in Vitebsk named after A.S. Pushkin, Talipskaya Irina, Tracevsky Timofey, and Shlyk Anastasia became winners in the nomination "Best School Blog". The team of young journalists was awarded a diploma of the 1st degree.
The main requirements for the competition works in this nomination were: content and informational richness, relevance, variety of genres, originality in revealing the topic, and the author's position. The visual design of the publication, systematic design of publications, and the presence of feedback from the audience (conducting surveys, promotions, contests) were also evaluated.
By participating in the "Fresh Wind" competition, the young journalists from the Vitebsk gymnasium successfully passed all stages: district, city, and regional. The final stage of the competition took place at the National Children's Center "Zubrenok".
- At the shift "Press-info", we developed our Telegram channel, where we shared news about events in Zubrenok, created a radio program in which we discussed interesting topics. In addition, we published a magazine that collected articles, photographs, and notes about our adventures in the camp. We shot a video clip that showed how we spend time together, tried our hand at being screenwriters, operators, and editors. It was a great experience. The "Press-info" shift was very rich and interesting, and I am proud to have participated in the "Fresh Wind" competition. In my opinion, working in a team is easier and more interesting. When we combine our efforts, everyone can contribute their ideas and experience. This helps to find more creative solutions and learn from each other. I love discussing tasks with the guys, sharing opinions, and getting feedback. Moreover, in a team, you can share responsibility, which makes the work less stressful, - said Irina Talipskaya.
Timofey Tracevsky believes that the experience of conducting the final stage of the competition within the "Press-info" shift is directly related to journalism. Thanks to participating in the competition, he learned to work with the audience and respond quickly to situations. All of this is important skills for a journalist, who must not only write texts but also be able to conduct interviews, ask questions, and convey information. Timofey is confident that he was very lucky with the team at the National Children's Center "Zubrenok". The guys turned out to be creative, and working together was not just easy, but truly interesting. This made him want to engage even more in the process and come up with something new.
At the solemn ceremony of summing up the final stage of the republican competition "Fresh Wind" and awarding the diploma of the 1st degree in the nomination "Best School Blog", Anastasia Shlyk shared her joy.
- We have come a long way. And we return to our native Vitebsk region with a victory! Thanks to the rich program of the "Fresh Wind" competition, we gained new knowledge and developed skills in journalistic activities. I would like to express my gratitude to the parents, as well as to the director of Gymnasium No. 3 in Vitebsk, Elena Matveeva, the leader of the "Young Journalist" club, Olga Bogoslovskaya, the director of the National Children's Center "Zubrenok", Tatyana Osmolovskaya, and the curator of the shift, Vladimir Polishchuk. Their support, attention, and faith in us made our first steps into journalism truly unforgettable.
