Оршанский район

Orshansky District

Located in the Vitebsk region, Orshansky district is famous for its rich history, unique cultural heritage, and picturesque nature. Here ancient monuments coexist with cozy villages, and modern tourist facilities provide all the conditions for a comfortable vacation.

In the 17th–18th centuries, eleven monasteries operated here, which is why Orsha is often called«the Belarusian Suzdal». It was here that the first Belarusian primer was printed, the first salvo of the legendary “Katyusha” was given, and the largest linen mill in Europe operates.

Today, new tourist routes and excursion programs are actively developing in the district, allowing a deep immersion into the atmosphere of local culture and getting acquainted with the hospitality of the residents.
