Ceremonial event «Young Heroes»: memory, intergenerational connection and gratitude

Today in Orsha, a solemn event "Young Heroes" took place, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. On this significant day, the Alley of Memory was laid — a symbol of life, continuity of generations, and eternal gratitude to the heroes who defended peace.

Each tree in the Alley of Memory is not just a seedling, but a living monument to the courage and resilience of those who fought for the freedom of the Motherland. 80 seedlings were planted, 22 of which are dedicated to the young heroes - the Orshans. The young oaks, maples, and birches planted by the participants of the event will serve as a reminder of the deeds of ancestors and a link between the past and the future.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Youth Parliament with the support of:

The Orsha District Executive Committee
The Orsha District Council of Deputies
The Regional Branch of the RОО "Belarusian Children's Fund"
The Department of Education of the Orsha District Executive Committee.

Representatives of the BRSM, employees of enterprises and organizations, children raised in foster families, youth activists, and honored guests participated in the ceremony:

Anastasia Prokofyeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Orsha District Executive Committee,
Maria Shmatova, Head of the Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee,
Tatyana Yankovskaya, Head of the Department of Education of the Orsha District Executive Committee,
Olga Obukhova, Director of the Regional Branch of the RОО "Belarusian Children's Fund".

As part of the event, the Regional Branch of the "Belarusian Children's Fund" provided play and sports equipment to family-type children's homes. This act of kindness and care for the younger generation emphasizes that the memory of the war is not only sorrow but also a desire to make children's lives happier.

The event "Young Heroes" became a vivid example of how important it is to preserve historical memory and pass it on to new generations. The Alley of Memory will grow and remind the Orshans of the great deeds of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and the good deeds in honor of the anniversary of Victory will continue the traditions of mercy and unity.
