"The country first". Lukashenko demanded to put private and state enterprises on equal footing
The attitude towards private individuals and state enterprises should be the same. This requirement was voiced by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on February 28 at a meeting on the new price regulation system, reports a BELTA correspondent.
The head of state mentioned that before the meeting, he was presented with a large package of documents, however, it is unclear what exactly the government is submitting for his consideration, its interim or final proposal.

"Every day I was practically interrogating Snoopkov on this issue. Golovchenko reminded that this is your main exam. People are watching us, they support us. We all rejoiced that we were voted for in the last elections. The people believed. And what about us? - the President asked rhetorically. - I repeat once again: there is an appointment in the government - the moment, leave. They sit, invent some formula, and everyone has their own opinion in their heads. The President set the task and drew a rut from which you cannot jump out: we have a dictatorship. And this dictatorship is supported by the people. Do it."
"There should not be harsh methods of regulation so as not to harm the economy. We should not excessively restrain the prices of producers. There should be normal profitability. Cut costs," - outlined the guidelines Alexander Lukashenko.
He emphasized that their expenses, such as the purchase of new cars, should not be included in the cost price of products, in other words, passed on to consumers. "As if it were only cars. And everyone comes, crying. They cannot work - let them not work. Put everyone in equal conditions: the country first of all," - the President emphasized.
The head of state also mentioned what proposals are coming from private business: "Let's squeeze, press state enterprises, and private ones will operate based on supply and demand. Yesterday they shouted: put us in equal conditions, state enterprises and private ones. Today they say: no, here let's have full freedom, there should be no regulations, and squeeze the state ones. So what do private individuals want? The attitude towards private individuals and state enterprises should be the same - strict, in the interests of the people," - demanded Alexander Lukashenko.
