The "Red Fighter" machine tool plant and the Orsha linen combine marked their anniversaries on a grand scale.
The oldest enterprise in Orsha – the open joint-stock company Machine Tool Plant "Red Fighter" celebrated its 125th anniversary since its foundation.
Today it is one of the leaders in the industry, a major manufacturer of metalworking machines, actively engaged in the production of in-demand high-tech products.
At the GDKiT "Orsha", where the solemn event took place, veterans and the current generation of factory workers gathered.
From the threshold, the atmosphere of the holiday was felt, greeted by the orchestra of the Orsha District Children's School of Arts. Many wished to take pictures at the thematic photo zone. In the assembly hall, the jubilee was welcomed by the director of "Red Fighter" Vitaly Krutko along with honored guests: the deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Angelika Nikitina, the chairman of the Orsha District Council of Deputies Inna Khomutovskaya, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and the industry trade union.
Angelika Nikitina thanked the Orsha machine builders for their dedicated work and read a congratulatory address from the head of the Vitebsk region Alexander Subbotin, and also presented honorary certificates to the head of the group of the chief designer's department Yuri Osipov, the chief accountant of the accounting department Margaret Shinkevich, and the deputy director for commercial issues Gennady Shumeyko.
From the heart, the director of the machine tool plant "Red Fighter" Vitaly Krutko congratulated his native team, highlighting the latest achievements of the enterprise and emphasizing that all successes are the result of the work of a large cohesive team that makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the machine tool industry in the country.
The artistic collectives of the GDKiT "Orsha" prepared creative gifts for the jubilee, and the special guests of the holiday were stars of the Belarusian pop scene TEO and Olga Ryzhikova, as well as the Cossack song ensemble "Father Ataman".
Today, the "Red Fighter" plant looks confidently into the future, as it is a modern and successful enterprise that produces the highest quality products. The people of Orsha are rightly proud of their machine builders.

The Orsha flax processing plant also celebrated its 95th anniversary – a keeper of unique traditions and a giant of the textile industry.
At the Ice Arena, more than 3,000 people gathered for the large-scale celebration – employees of the enterprise, veterans, and honored guests. Every element of the celebration emphasized the value of the natural material and the invaluable contribution of the people who turn flax into works of art.
The solemn part was opened with congratulations from the general director of the enterprise Oleg Buyanov and numerous guests. The culmination was the honoring of the best workers of the flax processing plant, awarded honorary certificates and thanks for their work.
The creative part of the evening, accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus under the direction of Vitaly Kulbakov was incredibly diverse. The audience enjoyed performances by Olga Bulai, Yevgeny Kurchich, Alyona Lanskaya, the energy of the holiday was supported by the cover band "No Comment Band" and the creative team "Zaleski Dance Design Show". And the beloved hits performed by the band "Drozdy" were sung along by the entire hall.
