"Old song in a different arrangement". Lukashenko on possible "combinations" regarding arms supplies to Ukraine
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, considers possible "combinations" with the supply of American weapons to Ukraine undesirable. The head of state stated this in an interview with journalists in Moscow, a new fragment of which was shown on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, reports BELTA.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that in foreign policy, U.S. President Donald Trump has taken a very decent position, striving for a peaceful resolution of conflicts.
"Where can he go now? He needs to act in this direction. And he will act. He has a rebellious, revolutionary force for this. Therefore, I support this. I would like some combinations not to be built. Like: I will sell weapons to Europeans, and they can supply Ukraine with whatever they want, do whatever they want. Listen, we are adults. Gave it to the Europeans. The Europeans paid. Or maybe they didn't pay. Or just, like Biden used to give away weapons. It arrived in Ukraine. Are you going to check who paid whom? So this is a revival of an old song, just with a different arrangement. But everything else is the same," the President stated.
"Here we need to be more open if we are to speak publicly. Or better yet, not to say anything publicly until we have agreed. We need to agree, and then talk about the results. But Donald has such a tactic. We understand it, respect it, agree in some places, and disagree in others. And depending on our understanding, we will act," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
