Спортивно-стрелковый клуб «Фора» из Орши растит патриотов

The sports shooting club "Fora" from Orsha is raising patriots

On November 11 it will be two years since the sports shooting club for practical pistol shooting "Fora" opened in Orsha. It became the second in the republic after Vitebsk, and there are already four such clubs in the country.

This movement and sport are rapidly gaining popularity among both children and youth, as well as adults. No wonder! After all, it provides such adrenaline and a charge of positive emotions. Journalists from "Arshanskaya Gazeta" recently experienced this firsthand and got acquainted with the director and students of the "Fora" club, who are passionate about practical shooting.

Just at that time, the guys were having another class. The leader and co-founder of the "Fora" club Dmitry Yakovenko is a former military man, so he knows the techniques and culture of handling weapons thoroughly.

Dmitry Fyodorovich believes that training in weapon handling skills in the modern world needs to be given close attention.

– Weapons are primarily about discipline, – explains Dmitry. – For young people, it is also preparation for adult life. For example, such skills will be useful for young men in the army or in service if they want to become officers. For girls, it is the ability to manage their emotions and strengthen stress resistance. In adults, in addition, concentration, dynamism, and logical thinking are developed. I emphasize that our main task is to teach safe handling of weapons.

Today, about 70 people are engaged in the "Fora" sports shooting club. The youngest athlete is only 6 years old. In classes, they hone various tactical techniques for working with pneumatic pistols and rifles, learn to handle them safely, and also to control themselves in various extreme situations. Practical shooting is a sport where, in addition to shooting accuracy, speed is also necessary.

The athletes of the "Fora" club have already accumulated significant experience over the past two years. There are also first successes. They have already won more than 30 awards. For instance, Dianna Pilatova is the champion of the Republic of Belarus in practical shooting. Recently, the team from Orsha took second place out of 18 teams at the republican competitions among military-patriotic clubs. Ahead of the athletes are new achievements, but it is already clear that "Fora" will give everyone a head start, as they are raising true patriots and defenders of the Fatherland here.
